Symptoms

When trying to access a network drive with a guest account, access is denied.

Problem

Recent versions of Windows 10 have disabled guest access to network shares on the grounds of security.

Solution

Either of the following solutions will work.

1. Access the network share via a defined user
2. Enable Insecure Access to guest account by installing the registry patch included below.
